Hi there, I am interested in signing up at Future Fitness, I would be a beginner at this as I have never been to a gym before. Do you guys offer information and explain what machines/free weights to use? Ideally I would also like to find out what training routines are good etc along with the diet. Would it best to come in and have a chat with you guys first? Regards, Yash

Hi Yash

Yes the best thing for you to do is call in and have a chat with one of our team.

One of the guys will happily show you around the gym and if you want to join up, you will be given an induction during which you will be shown how to use the best equipment relevant to what you are trying to achieve.

There are also personal trainers available if you want more one on one help, but if not there is always help available with regards to training and dieting.

We look forward to seeing you and welcoming you to the gym!

See you soon, Louise

In regards to your "Eliko" lifting area - I am an weightlifter moving to Coventry for university, and I was hoping you could email me some pictures of the area. Thank you!

Hi, we have a great offer on at the moment for students, a one off payment of only £125 for the year, so pop into the gym and we can tell you more about it. If you take the virtual tour of the gym on the home page you will be able to see it on there. - Thanks, Louise

Hello, I'm looking for a new gym and this gym looks fantastic. I will be attending the gym in the evening about 5 or half 5 because of school, how much will it be for me to pay monthly?

Hi Alexander

Off peak finishes at 4pm weekdays, so if you will be training from 5pm onwards it will be classed as "peak time" and there are numerous options, which you can see on this page:-

http://futurefitness.co.uk/prices

The most cost effective one is joining for 12 months at £26 per month, this works out at only £6 per week.

Why don't you pop in and we can show you around and then chat to you better about what deal would be best for you?

Louise

Hello, I'm going to be going into my 3rd year of a physiotherapy degree at Coventry University in September and was wondering if your gym offered any custom membership plans? As a student I would be looking for an 8-9month membership, would it be possible to get a rough estimate? Also as Iím on a physio course I may have to move away for a month at a time, are you able to suspend memberships temporarily? Thankyou! Samantha Reeves

Hello Samantha

Thank you for your question!

Yes we do have a new offer especially tailored for students in exactly your position.

This membership is a one off payment of only £125 (payable in full on joining) which equates to £2.40 per week/£10.42 per month

This is an anytime membership meaning you can use the gym whenever it is open and it runs for a full 12 months from the date you sign up.  This has the benefit that you don’t have to worry about suspending or reactivating your membership or losing any days you’ve paid for, you can simply train whenever you want whenever you are in town.

In addition to this as you would be an “anytime” member meaning you would be able to attend the spinning classes completely free of charge.

If you are interested come down to the gym with your student pass and one of our team will be only too happy to get you started!

Louise

What is the best exercise for training biceps?

There is not one single best exercise but if I had to choose it would be Straight Bar Curls and Straight Bar Preachers.

The most important thing to remember is to keep your elbows close to your sides; this will keep your shoulders out of the rep and keep the stress on your biceps.

Clint

I have a sore knee and I am struggling to train my legs, can you give me some advice please?

Most importantly avoid leg extensions as this is a single joint exercise and will put lots of stress onto your knees.

I have had surgery on my knee 3 times and I find cycling for 10 minutes first then doing a mix of light leg presses and squats is effective.  Start with leg press 15-25 reps for 3 sets then move on to squats 15-20 reps for 3 sets.

Afterwards warm down on the bike for 10 minutes then apply ice to your affected knee.  If the pain persists seek medical attention as you may need to have a scan.

Clint

Hi, can you give me some advice on how I can make my upper chest bigger?

Prioritise your order of exercises starting with incline press OR incline fly to pre-exhaust; here are two workouts to try first

Option 1

30° Incline dumbbell press - 3 x 6-8

30° Incline flys - 3 x 8-15

Dips or Flat Bench - 3 x 8-15

Option 2 – Pre-exhaust

30° Incline flys - 3 x 10-15

Incline Bar Press - 3 x 8-10

Dip or Flat Press - 3 x 8-12

Hey, I'm really interested in your gym and live locally, before I download a free weeks trial, I was just wondering. I play semi profession ice hockey, so therefore have my own training regime, I have 1 day a week of core workkouts, I therefore require a bosu ball, do you guys have those ? Also, how much is student discount? and finally, your classes (boxing and spinning) something I'll be looking to do weekly, are they part of the standard membership or do you need extra for them ? thanks

Hi Joe

Yes we do have a Bosu ball at the gym.  We are doing a special offer for students at the moment - £125 for a twelve month fixed subscription payable in one amount at the start. Included in that are the spinning classes too!  But not the boxing.  Pop in to see us and we can show you around and go through the memberships with you.

Thanks, Louise

I am coming back to uni next week, and I was just wondering if the offer for students to pay £125 for the year is still available?

Hi Fraser

Yes this offer is still current and available.  Just pop in to the gym with your student ID and we can get your membership arranged as soon as you like.

Many thanks, Louise

Hi there, I wanted to ask the prices for MMA. I have never gone to a gym before or something and I want to learn MMA from the beginning, I'm a student if there is any discount let me know.

We are running a special offer for students at the moment, £125 for a full years membership.  You can have boxing coaching here too, but that would be at an additional cost.

If you would like to call in at the gym we can show you around and tell you more about the boxing coaching.

Many thanks, Louise

I am a student at Coventry uni and I'm looking to join your gym, does the £125 have to be paid all at once or could any arrangements be made to pay it in 2 or three installments? It would make joining much easier for me! Thanks Joe

Hi Joe

Because this specific membership deal is such an excellent one the full £125 must be paid in full when joining up.  You can join using one of the other deals listed below, but as you can see because the £125 special offer deal is an "ANY TIME" membership and includes the spinning classes completely free of charge it really is massive value for money!

Thanks, Louise

Student Rates
Single session     £3 (off peak)   £4 (anytime)
1 week   £7 (off peak)   £9.50 (anytime)
1 month   £22.50 (off peak)   £31 (anytime)

Hi I have been training for about 1 year and I cannot put on any weight, please help ? Thankyou Kardo

Hi Kardo

Can you give me some more information regarding your exercise programme and diet and I will be in a better position to offer some advice.

Thanks Clint

Hi, I would like to ask can I join your gym if I'm not 18, and how much i would pay monthly? Thank you :)

Hi

Yes you would be able to join the gym!  If you are over 16 you will just need to bring your parent with you on your first visit to sign a consent form, you will be able to train alone from then on.  If you are under 16, you would only be able to use the gym if you accompanied by an adult at all times.  Prices can be found on this page on our website:-

http://www.futurefitness.co.uk/prices

Many thanks, Louise

Hi, how old do you have to be to join your gym? Ada

Hi Ada - You can use the gym if you are 18, but if you are younger than that you will need to come along with an adult - Hope to see you soon! Louise

Hi Andy

If you do the month membership .. it is calender month or date to the same date next month ? Saleem

Hi Saleem

The monthly membership runs from the first day to the last day of each month, so if you join part way through a month you would pay the pro-rata amount.

Hope this explains!

Thanks, Louise

Hi there, I'm currently an apprentice for the local council. I would be going to the gym only at the weekends. What are the rates for this?

Hello there, we don't actually have a rate for just using the gym at weekends.  It would depend on how many times over the weekend you are planning to train? A single session is £5, so if you plan to come only twice over a weekend, that would be the best option as a weekly pass is £12.

Hope this helps! Louise

Hello, I'm student at City College Coventry and I'm thinking of joining the gym, but I'm just curious on how much a spinning session is or is this included in the membership fee??? Also I only have my college ID, is this enough to prove I'm a student to get the student discount???

Hello Kate

Thank you for your question!

Here are the student rates.  To qualify for free spinning sessions you would need to join for at least 1 month on the "anytime" deal at £31 per month.

Student Rates
Single session     £3 (off peak)   £4 (anytime)
1 week   £7 (off peak)   £9.50 (anytime)
1 month   £22.50 (off peak)   £31 (anytime)

If you are interested come down to the gym with your student ID pass and one of our team will be only too happy to get you started!

Louise

Do you offer mixed martial arts classes if yes how much is it, Tshekedi

Hi Tshekedi

Thank you for your email, I'm sorry this is not a class we currently run at the gym.  But we are certainly the place to join if you want to get fit and change your body shape.

Come down to the gym and have a look around, or download your free week trial and come and try us out!

Louise

Hello there, DFS are trying to raise 1 million pounds for Children in need which as you will know is a UK charity that helps under priviledged and unwell children. I am the Children In Need ambassador and I am arranging events in store that will raise plenty of money. We are looking at doing a bit of a bike-athon in store and I was wondering whether it would be possible for you to loan us a bike which will record the distance we have travelled. As a thank you for your support we would also actively promote your gym and your generosity. If you could please e-mail me at the store and let me know if this is something you could help me with? Kind Regards, Holly Jennings

Hi Holly

I really hope the bike ride is going well, let us know how you are getting on!
